Lambertville City Officer in Charge Lt. Robert Brown, Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams, Acting Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo, and Flemington Borough Police Chief Jerry Rotella announced the arrest of Douglas Gimson, age 31, of Hampton, NJ.

According to Acting Prosecutor Williams, “On December 3, 2020, Mr. Gimson was charged in Lambertville City and Flemington Borough after a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit, the Flemington Borough police Department, and the Lambertville City Police Department.  Mr. Gimson was charged in Flemington with one count of 3rd degree invasion of privacy and one count of 4th degree invasion of privacy.  He was also charged in Lambertville with one count of 3rd degree invasion of privacy and one count of 4th degree invasion of privacy.  Mr. Gimson was charged in both jurisdictions after it was discovered that he observed and secretly recorded multiple individuals while they were in various bathrooms without the identified victims’ knowledge or consent.  The charges encompass numerous incidents from approximately November 2016 until May 2017 in Lambertville and from November 2019 until March 2020 in Flemington.  The case is now pending before the Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, J.S.C.

The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law
