On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at approximately 1034 hours, Patrol and Lambertville Fire Department responded to 23.5 Coryell Street for a report of an electrical fire.  DET Bast and PTL Balaity arrived on scene with the Lambertville Fire Department and assessed the scene.  Smoke conditions were observed in the second floor of multiple apartments.  It was later determined that an inactive line on the telephone pole had fallen onto a live power line.  After a short while, the building was deemed safe by the Lambertville Fire Department.  All First Responders and residents alike were uninjured during the fire.  DET Bast is the investigating officer.

On Thursday, January 28, 2021, at approximately 1400 hours, DET Bast responded to Gas Co, 32 North Franklin Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 for a report of a theft of gasoline.  DET Bast is the investigating officer.
