Lambertville City Police Department Lt. Robert Brown announced Ryan O’Leary (24 years old) of Lambertville was charged with 4th Degree Invasion of Privacy, and 4th Degree Evidence Tampering.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, a patron visited Bagel Delights on Cherry Street in Lambertville, and requested to use the restroom. While in the bathroom, the victim observed a camera lens on a shelf in front of the toilet, wrapped in a black apron. The victim removed the device, which was an Apple iPhone. The victim left the scene, and later reported the incident to Lambertville Police. Subsequent investigation by the Lambertville City Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutors Office led to charging O’Leary with Invasion of Privacy in the 4th degree, and  Evidence Tampering (4th degree). O’Leary was served on a complaint summons and is due in Hunterdon County Superior Court for his first appearance.

Anyone with relevant information regarding Mr. O’Leary is encouraged to call Det. Matthew Bast at 609-397-3132.
