Employment Opportunities: The Lambertville Police Department: The City of Lambertville has a part-time position available within the Police Department as a Parking Enforcement Officer. The Parking Enforcement Officers' primary responsibility is to ensure that drivers comply with local parking laws, ordinances and issue citations for violations. Most officers are assigned to a particular geographic area, which they patrol and monitor for violations, such as parking in a no-parking zone, expired meters and other types of illegal parking. The officers may also be responsible for collecting the money in the parking meters. The candidate must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license. A message from the Mayor concerning COVID-19 The City of Lambertville is alerting members of our community about the increasing number of Covid-19 cases throughout the state of NJ. Because of these spikes, new changes to gathering limits have been announced by Governor Murphy - limiting the number of people in your home to no more than 10 and no more than 150 people gathered outside. As we approach Thanksgiving be aware of these new gathering restrictions. When possible, maintain social distance and reduce unnecessary social interactions. The health and safety of your family and neighbors is our top priority. Stay safe and Healthy. Tax payments and other documents can be placed through the mail slot on the front door of City Hall (18 York Street). Construction Updates: Tent Permit Requirements from the Construction Office As of December 1, 2020, a permit from the Construction Office will be required for any existing or new tents installed for all businesses. The UCC, Uniform Construction Code, mandates that a permit be submitted to the Construction Office for review. Prior to this date, the only department required to maintain tent permits was the Fire Prevention Office. You will need to submit Building and Fire Subcode Technical Sections along with the specifications of the tent, including manufacturer’s specifications for anchorage, wind loads, snow loads and fire resistance. If the tent will have sides or be partially or completely enclosed then an egress plan, emergency lighting and exits signs will be required along with an Electric Subcode Technical Section. All forms are available on our website at www.lambertvillenj.org under Construction Office page. The Lambertville Free Public Library Update: |

The Lambertville Free Public Library is pleased to announce our transition to a new catalog search format for patrons via our website. While still in the building stages, the new search method will allow for easier online browsing and searching of our collection and seeing what's new to the library. Ebooks and e-audiobooks are also available for patrons to download for free from our Cloud Library online service, accessible with your library card number. The library building is currently open to the public and for porch-side pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-7, and Saturdays from 10-2. Porch-side pickup only hours are Mondays and Fridays from 12-6. There is a one hour time limit for patrons to be in the building for the safety of all. Patrons may call to renew items at 609-397-0275 and return items to the book drop at any time. Materials will be quarantined for 72 hours and fines will not be charged. |

BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA GRATUITA LAMBERTVILLE |
La Biblioteca Pública Gratuita de Lambertville se complace en anunciar nuestra transición a un nuevo formato de búsqueda de catálogo para usuarios a través de nuestro sitio web. Mientras aún se encuentra en las etapas de construcción, el nuevo método de búsqueda permitirá navegar y buscar en línea más fácilmente nuestra colección y ver las novedades de la biblioteca. Los libros electrónicos y los audiolibros electrónicos también están disponibles para que los usuarios los descarguen de forma gratuita desde nuestro servicio en línea Cloud Library, al que se puede acceder con su número de tarjeta de biblioteca. El edificio de la biblioteca está actualmente abierto al público y se puede recoger en el porche los martes y jueves de 10 a 7 y los sábados de 10 a 2. El horario exclusivo de recogida en el porche es los lunes y viernes de 12 a 6. Hay un límite de tiempo de una hora para que los usuarios estén en el edificio por la seguridad de todos. Los usuarios pueden llamar para renovar artículos al 609-397-0275 y devolverlos al depósito de libros en cualquier momento. Los materiales se pondrán en cuarentena durante 72 horas y no se cobrarán multas. |
