Animal Control

The Animal Control officer responds to resident and police-directed calls regarding lost or found domestic animals and incidents involving animals within the City. The Animal Control Officer can be reached by calling the Lambertville Police Department (609) 397-3132.

 

Annual Pet License

If you own a pet dog or outdoor cat you need to maintain a current pet license once they are over 7 months in age. 

Fees:

  • DOGS - Spayed/Neutered Dog:  $15.00;     Not Spayed/Neutered:  $18.00;     Late Fee:  $25.00     (License must be renewed by March 1st to avoid a late fee)
  • CATS – Outdoor Cats:  $15.00     (Indoor Cats: Free)

To apply for a new license, or renew your current license, you will need proof of rabies vaccination that is good through at least November of the current year. 

Licenses can be applied for in person at City Hall (18 York Street), or click here to apply online.

Pet licenses expire every year on December 31 regardless of when they are acquired or last renewed.

 

Deer or Dead Animal Removal

Deer carcass removal services are covered by Hunterdon County, in partnership with the Somerset County COOP Program.
