Pets
Lambertville is known as a pet-friendly place, and many residents have four-legged friends who complete their families.
Dogs & Cats
Dogs over the age of 7 months are required to be registered and licensed in the City. Outdoor cats are also required to be licensed.
Pet licensing is an annual process and renewal is every January. Renewal can be completed online or in person at City Hall.
In order to be licensed, the state of New Jersey required a valid rabies vaccination record for every pet. The vaccination must be good through October of the calendar year of registration.
Pet Licensing Prices:
Spayed/Neutered Dog or Cat: $20
Not Spayed/Neutered: $23
Late Fee: $30 in addition to regular license fee
*Renew by March 1 to avoid a late fee! *
