Press Release 8/27/23

Lambertville City Police Lt. Robert Brown announced today, August 27th 2023 at approximately 3:50 pm Emergency Personnel (Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, Lambertville Fire Department, HMC Paramedics, Lambertville City PD) was dispatched to the Lambertville Wing Dam for a male with a head laceration. Patrol arrived on the scene and made contact with a 30’s 30-year-old male who had walked out from the Dam up to the canal path. The male, (from Doylestown PA) dove headfirst into the river, struck a large rock under the water, and suffered a deep laceration on his head, requiring advanced medical care. A medivac helicopter (NJSP) was requested and landed at Ely Field shortly thereafter. The male was transported to Capital Health Trauma Center in Trenton NJ.
