UPDATE: DEBRIS REMOVAL

September 7, 2021  5:00PM -  This City of Lambertville’s Debris Removal Plan will take several days to complete. The city will be staging the debris removal beginning with North Union and South Union closest to the debris piles. As the disaster debris removal trucks work through portions of town, we will continue to communicate with members of the public on which area is next. We will only be removing debris that has accumulated on sidewalks and in other public areas.

LOCATIONS:   Cherry and N. Union Streets and Swan and South Union Streets

DATE:   Wednesday, September 8, 2021

TIME:   7:00 am – 3:00 pm

NOTE:  All household hazardous waste must be separated from the rest of the debris and appliances must be taped shut. Thank you to everyone for helping sort debris across the city so we can be in compliance with FEMA and DEP regulations. We encourage you to continue to remove and place your debris, including construction debris, at the curb for pick up.

PARKING: The City Office of Emergency Management has worked with the following property owners to allow for public parking when roadways are closed for the debris removal:                         

  • River Horse/OTC Building off Lambert Lane 
  • The Old Norgas Property located behind the Lambertville Station Inn
  • River Walk located by Feeder Street, at the north end of the parking lot near Feeder Street                               

ROAD CLOSURES: The following roads will be closed on Wednesday, September 8 from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm while they work to remove the trash and clean up the roads (These streets must have cars removed by 7:00 am on Wednesday, September 8):

  • NORTH FRANKLIN STREET from York Street to Route 179
  • NORTH UNION STREET from Cherry to Elm Streets
  • SOUTH UNION STREET from Mount Hope to Ferry Streets

Please be prepared to use an alternate route.

DISABLED VEHICLES:  If your car is disabled, please contact the Lambertville Police Department at 609.397.3132 and they will assist you.
