Please note, the last day you can place debris related to Tropical Storm Ida on the curb is Thursday, 9/16. The debris removal company will be making its last trips through town shortly after that.
DUMPSTERS: The City has deployed dumpsters throughout town. Dumpsters are being removed, emptied, and replaced on an ongoing basis. The city is working with the County to manage this process. Dumpsters will continue to be deployed based on need with a focus on those parts of town most severely impacted by the storm.
Please note, the City-sponsored dumpsters will be removed on Thursday, 9/23. Residents can continue to use their own dumpsters. While dumpster permit fees will be waived until the end of the City-issued State of Emergency, residents still need to coordinate with the City on placement of dumpsters to ensure emergency access on all streets.
HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD MATERIALS (paint cans, cleaning products, etc.) & WHITE GOODS (appliances): All household hazardous waste and appliances must be separated from the rest of the debris. Household hazardous waste can be placed in the parking lot of the Phillip L. Pittore Justice Center located at 25 South Union Street. Please place them in the area marked and designated for hazardous waste. Appliances must be taped shut or have their doors removed.
Please note, the last day to place your hazardous household waste materials at the Phillip L. Pittore Justice Center is Thursday, 9/16.
STREET SWEEPER: The regular street sweeper schedule has been suspended for the week of 9/13. Street sweeping will occur following debris removal on an ongoing basis. Please pay attention to the no parking signs posted by the police department and do your best to move cars out of the way.
GARBAGE AND RECYCLING: The normal household garbage schedule resumed on Monday, 9/13.
THIRD CAN PROGRAM: The City of Lambertville is suspending the third can program while we are in the City’s state of emergency. Public Works will pick-up the third can and it will go into the regular garbage truck until we are able to recommit to the program. The large amount of debris on the streets caused by Tropical Storm Ida has placed a significant strain on the city and our resources. We ask for your continued understanding while we clean-up from the storm.
